WHY A BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST AND NOT A TRAINER?
Obedience training is an important aspect of a dog's life! When you add obedience into your lifestyle, you build a bond adding special one on one time with your dog. Obedience does not fully rectify behavior and medical issues that some dogs face.
A Behavior Specialist will work with your dog and family on interactions, environment, medical conditions and behavioral issues that may be a source for your dog's abnormal behavior. Behavior Specialists are educated in canine behaviors, abnormal displays of behaviors, pharmacology along with family psychology and counseling. These are some of the issues that your dog may display. Sometimes they are short lived and resolve on their own but other times families are unable to change or eliminate these behaviors successfully. Behavioral issues are the major factor in surrendering a dog to a shelter! That is why I perform this service!

I work with families on bonding techniques that gain respect from your dog in passive and positive means. Respect comes in small actions multiple times throughout the day. Fear and harsh punishment techniques may lead a dog to react aggressively or may increase it's anxiety. Positive reinforcement teaches dogs to perform calm behaviors for your affection!
OUR GOALS
I began this business to help the families positively interact with their dogs. I want all dogs to thrive in a calm and positive environment. Dogs are companions and we should both be benefitted by our relationship! Abnormal behaviors can be managed or elliviated with our commitment. Shelters should be temporary housing before the dogs acquire a loving and caring environment for the rest of their lives!
